Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their dynamic team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is integral to the success of construction projects, involving the development, management, and monitoring of project schedules. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to create realistic and achievable plans that optimize resource allocation and minimize delays. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing, contributing to the efficient delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, activities, durations, and dependencies.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within the schedule and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and provide regular updates and reports.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure alignment between planned activities and on-site execution.
• Analyse schedule variances and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and critical path analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
