Construction Planner

About the Role

A prominent construction company is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to manage project scheduling and resource allocation for developments in and around Brighton . This role is critical in developing and maintaining realistic and achievable project timelines, from initial tender stage through to project completion. You will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes and possess excellent analytical and communication skills to effectively coordinate complex schedules and mitigate potential delays.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction programmes using planning software.
• Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, timelines, and milestones.
• Identify critical path activities and potential scheduling risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Monitor site progress against the programme and report on performance.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective integration of various trades and work packages within the overall schedule.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction planning or programming.
• Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequences.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
