About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Construction Planner to join their team based in Brighton . You will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive construction programmes, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and to schedule. This role requires a proactive approach to identify potential planning risks and opportunities, and to effectively communicate programme updates to all stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction sequencing and resource management, contributing to the efficient execution of various building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and update detailed construction project schedules using planning software.
• Analyze project requirements and translate them into realistic and achievable programme timelines.
• Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and resource constraints.
• Liaise with site teams, project managers, and subcontractors to gather progress information.
• Prepare regular progress reports and programme updates for management and clients.
• Assist in the development of method statements and site logistics plans.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta Powerproject.
• Good understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and site operations.
• Ability to analyze complex information and present it clearly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of UK construction industry practices.
