Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to develop and maintain detailed project schedules for a variety of construction projects in Nottingham . You will be responsible for creating logical sequencing of activities, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress to ensure timely completion. This role is crucial for the efficient execution of projects, supporting the project management team in delivering complex construction works across Nottinghamshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and update comprehensive project schedules using planning software.
• Create logic diagrams, identify critical paths, and analyse potential delays.
• Resource planning, including labour, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and present findings to project stakeholders.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment with the project plan.
• Contribute to bid planning and tender submissions by providing preliminary schedules.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in project management and planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
