Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Construction Planner to join their team in Reading . This role is crucial for developing and maintaining comprehensive construction schedules, ensuring that all projects are planned effectively to meet deadlines and budget constraints. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create logical sequencing of activities and identify potential risks or delays. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update project schedules using planning software.
• Analyze project requirements and define task sequences, durations, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with site teams to gather progress updates and identify deviations from the plan.
• Assess the impact of changes or delays and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare baseline schedules, progress reports, and resource histograms.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure the overall project delivery aligns with the plan.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
• Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills .
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
