About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Construction Planner to join their team based in Edinburgh . This hybrid role involves developing, managing, and monitoring construction project schedules, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within scope. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to create realistic and achievable plans, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using planning software.
- Collaborate with project teams to define project scope, milestones, and resource requirements.
- Identify potential risks and delays, and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
- Monitor project progress against the schedule and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project status and performance metrics.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with industry standards and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Asta PowerProject.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and resource allocation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with site visits in the Edinburgh area.
