Construction Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Construction Planner to join their team and contribute to a variety of building projects in Liverpool . This role is critical for developing, monitoring, and updating project programmes to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. You will work collaboratively with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to create realistic and achievable construction schedules, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• Collaborate with project teams to gather information and input for programme development and updates.
• Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and develop proactive solutions and mitigation plans.
• Monitor project progress against the plan, reporting on performance and forecasting completion dates.
• Assist in the preparation of tender planning submissions and programmes for new projects.
• Facilitate planning meetings with stakeholders to review progress and discuss upcoming activities.
• Ensure programmes are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project objectives and resources.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Senior Scheduler.
• Proficiency in industry-standard planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject).
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and project management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
