About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Construction Planner to join their remote team. This role is essential for developing and maintaining realistic, achievable project schedules for a variety of construction projects across the UK. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to create comprehensive plans, monitor progress, and identify potential risks or delays, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery from a remote location. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner who thrives in a flexible working environment and possesses strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed construction schedules using planning software, incorporating all project phases and activities.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather information for schedule development and updates.
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations and potential delays.
- Produce regular progress reports, including schedule analysis , look-aheads, and critical path updates.
- Identify and assess project risks and opportunities that may impact the schedule.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of the construction schedule.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Planner or Scheduler in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using project planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project data.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously from a remote setting.
