Construction Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically adept Construction Project Engineer to support a range of construction projects in Sheffield . This role is crucial for bridging the gap between design and site execution, ensuring that projects are built according to specifications and quality standards. You will work closely with Site Managers, engineers, and subcontractors, providing technical assistance, managing site queries, and contributing to effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to site teams, resolving queries and ensuring design compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and temporary works designs.
• Review and manage shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of works.
• Monitor site progress and quality, reporting any issues or deviations from the plan.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to planning and programming discussions.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies on site.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in a Project Engineer or similar site-based engineering role.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with relevant UK building codes and safety standards.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
