About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically adept Construction Project Engineer to support their project management team in Sheffield . This role is integral to ensuring the smooth technical execution of construction projects, bridging the gap between design and on-site implementation. You will assist in planning, coordinating, and controlling all aspects of the engineering process, ensuring that projects meet technical specifications, safety standards, and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and scheduling of project engineering activities.
• Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor site progress, ensuring work aligns with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support the implementation of health and safety procedures on site.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
• Review shop drawings and construction submittals for compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of construction methodologies, building codes , and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with project management software and CAD software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
