Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Construction Project Manager to lead key projects in the Birmingham area. This role involves overseeing all phases of the construction lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be instrumental in driving project success by managing budgets, timelines, resources, and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record in managing complex construction ventures and a commitment to delivering exceptional results in a dynamic project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation for Birmingham -based projects.
• Manage all project activities, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, and contract administration with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor performance and address challenges.
• Implement and enforce robust health and safety protocols on all construction sites.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, design teams, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Project Management .
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, contract law, and risk management.
• Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
