Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic Construction Project Manager to lead diverse building projects across the Birmingham metropolitan area. You will be instrumental in driving projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational skills, who can effectively manage multiple workstreams and build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from initiation to closeout.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial controls.
• Appoint and manage contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance.
• Implement and maintain robust health and safety management systems on all project sites.
• Chair project meetings and provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction phase.

Requirements

• Significant experience in construction project management , preferably with a focus on commercial or residential developments.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, risk management, and procurement processes .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
