About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead significant building projects in and around Sunderland . This role is vital for ensuring the successful delivery of construction initiatives, adhering to strict safety, quality, and budgetary standards. You will be responsible for the overall management of construction sites, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure project milestones are met efficiently. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for a professional looking to contribute to prominent construction developments in the North East .

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning and design through to completion and handover.
Manage site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
Control project costs, track budgets, and manage financial forecasting to prevent overruns.
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings with clients and project teams.
Resolve any on-site issues, conflicts, or delays promptly and effectively.

Requirements

Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant legislation.
Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and multiple stakeholders.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Valid CSCS card or equivalent health and safety certification is essential.
