Construction Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead key projects based in or near Portsmouth . You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This leadership role requires a strong understanding of all phases of the construction lifecycle, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Develop detailed project plans, define project scope, and set achievable objectives.
• Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Manage client relationships, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns.
• Control project costs and ensure adherence to financial targets, including managing variations and claims.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Construction Project Manager , with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations , and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
