About the Role
Our client is seeking a competent and motivated Construction Site Engineer to support their projects in the Oxford area. You will be responsible for providing engineering support on-site, ensuring that construction work is executed according to design specifications, drawings, and quality standards. This role requires a practical understanding of construction processes, surveying, and site management principles. You will work closely with the Site Manager and other site personnel to ensure the accurate setting out of works, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols, playing a vital part in the successful execution of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate setting out of structures, foundations, and services using surveying equipment.
- Undertake quality control checks on materials and workmanship, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Interpret construction drawings and technical specifications, providing clarification to site teams as needed.
- Assist in the management of site logistics, including material quantities and deliveries.
- Ensure all site activities comply with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain site records, including daily reports, survey data, and quality control documentation.
Requirements
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Experience as a Site Engineer or Graduate Engineer in the construction industry .
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment (e.g., total stations, levels) and associated software.
- Good understanding of construction methods, health and safety , and quality management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, essential for working in Oxford .
