Construction Site Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and practical Construction Site Engineer to support their projects in the Norwich area. You will be responsible for managing site engineering works, ensuring accuracy in setting out, levels, and measurements, and contributing to the technical aspects of construction delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively on-site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction is built according to design specifications and quality standards in Norfolk .

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake site setting out, levelling, and dimensional control using appropriate survey equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate implementation on site.
• Monitor and inspect construction work to ensure compliance with designs and quality standards.
• Prepare site engineering reports and maintain accurate records of works undertaken.
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and designers to resolve technical queries.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures on site.

Requirements

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar engineering role on construction projects.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment and associated software.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
