About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Construction Site Manager to lead diverse construction projects in the Nottingham area. You will take ownership of site operations, ensuring the successful and safe execution of projects from commencement to completion. This demanding role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of construction practices. You will be responsible for managing site teams, subcontractors, and resources to achieve project milestones on time and within budget, upholding our client's commitment to quality and safety in Nottingham .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Develop and implement detailed site-specific health and safety plans, conducting regular inspections and toolbox talks.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure efficient workflow.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule, proactively identifying and resolving any issues or delays.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily progress reports, safety documentation, and delivery logs.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship meets the highest standards, conducting necessary checks and rectifications.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a Construction Site Manager with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and relevant UK building regulations.
• Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
• First Aid at Work qualification is highly desirable.
