About the Role

Our client is looking for a competent and experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee operations on a new development project in Norwich . This role requires strong leadership to manage site activities, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and maintain high standards of work quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for supervising the workforce, coordinating subcontractors, and managing site resources effectively to meet project deadlines and budget requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed to specification and on schedule.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety procedures, conducting regular risk assessments and site inductions.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to ensure efficient progress.
• Maintain site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and delivery notes.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship meets the company's high standards and project requirements.
• Manage site resources, including plant, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar leadership role within the construction industry.
• Thorough understanding of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety legislation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, First Aid, and a CSCS card are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
