Construction Site Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee and manage daily operations on construction sites in and around Leeds . This role requires a strong presence on-site to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing tradespeople, coordinating deliveries, ensuring health and safety compliance, and liaising with project managers and clients. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, capable of problem-solving and driving progress in a demanding site environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety policies and procedures on site.
• Manage site personnel, including subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and safety compliance.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to address issues and provide updates.
• Manage site logistics, including material procurement, plant hire, and waste disposal.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices on construction sites.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
