Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations at a key construction site in Reading . This role is vital for ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. You will be responsible for supervising tradespeople, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have practical experience in site supervision and a strong understanding of construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily activities of construction personnel and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company policies on site.
• Monitor progress of work, identify any potential issues or delays, and report them to the Site Manager.
• Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, plant, and equipment on site.
• Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, including personnel on site and work performed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or Foreman in the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, techniques, and materials.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
• Good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Relevant trade qualification or vocational training is advantageous.
