Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a practical and proactive Construction Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on various projects in the Sheffield area. This role involves direct supervision of tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. You will be the frontline manager on site, responsible for coordinating activities, monitoring progress, and resolving immediate issues that arise. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong construction background to take on greater responsibility and contribute to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise on-site construction activities and personnel.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Monitor site progress, report daily on activities, and flag any deviations from the schedule.
• Maintain a safe and clean construction site, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager or Project Manager on resource allocation and task prioritization.
• Inspect work completed by tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
