Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Construction Site Supervisor to oversee operations at various building sites in Bradford . You will be responsible for ensuring that work proceeds according to plan, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role is hands-on, requiring you to be on-site daily, coordinating tradespeople and ensuring that project milestones are met. You will play a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects, contributing directly to the physical development of West Yorkshire and ensuring the smooth running of daily site activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities, coordinating workers and subcontractors effectively.
• Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures on site.
• Monitor work quality and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Maintain site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
• Manage the delivery and storage of materials and equipment on site.
• Liaise with the Site Manager and other project stakeholders to report progress and address issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Solid understanding of construction processes and best practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• A relevant qualification such as a CSCS card or NVQ in Construction Supervision is advantageous.
