About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations for projects across Scotland, operating in a fully remote capacity with regular site visits. You will be responsible for managing site teams, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, and maintaining efficient progress against project schedules. This role demands strong leadership skills, a practical understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively coordinate activities remotely while ensuring on-site adherence to plans. It's an excellent opportunity for a dedicated supervisor to take ownership of project delivery from a flexible, remote-first perspective.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and direct site personnel, including tradespeople and labourers, providing clear instructions and performance feedback.
- Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Monitor site progress and report regularly on status, issues, and potential delays to the project management team.
- Implement and enforce all health and safety regulations on site, conducting safety briefings and ensuring proper use of PPE.
- Maintain site records, including daily logs, attendance, and materials usage.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor , Foreman, or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of various construction trades, methods, and materials.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the UK construction sector.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for reporting and remote communication.
