Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on various construction sites in and around Nottingham . You will be responsible for ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards. This hands-on role involves supervising tradespeople, coordinating activities, conducting safety checks, and liaising with the site manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding safety and quality on site, contributing directly to the successful completion of diverse construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of tradespeople and laborers on site.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to health and safety protocols.
• Manage site logistics, including material storage and equipment deployment.
• Report on site progress, issues, and potential delays to the Site Manager.
• Maintain a clean and organized site, promoting good housekeeping practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or foreman in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
• Awareness of health and safety legislation and best practices on construction sites.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification is an advantage.
