Construction Site Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily operations on various construction sites in and around Sunderland . This role is vital for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. You will be the primary point of contact on-site, responsible for coordinating trades, managing workflow, and upholding all site safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of construction practices. This is a hands-on role requiring a dedicated professional committed to delivering successful construction outcomes in the North East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities, ensuring work is completed according to plans and specifications.
• Coordinate and direct the activities of construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Implement and enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any issues or potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, progress, and any incidents.
• Ensure materials and equipment are on-site and in sufficient quantities for scheduled work.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or similar role.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and health and safety standards.
• Excellent knowledge of building materials and construction equipment .
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification is a plus.
