Our client, a leading media and PR agency based in Manchester , is seeking a highly creative and strategic Content Strategist to develop and oversee compelling content initiatives for their clients. You will be responsible for defining content goals, identifying target audiences, and creating integrated content plans that align with overall marketing and PR objectives. This role is crucial for driving brand narratives and audience engagement in the digital space, offering a significant opportunity to influence content direction and impact client communication strategies within the vibrant North West media hub, working remotely with a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop overarching content strategies that support client business objectives and PR campaigns.
- Conduct audience research and competitor analysis to identify content opportunities and gaps.
- Create content calendars and oversee the production of various content formats including blog posts, articles, social media updates, and video scripts.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, high-quality, and optimized for search engines and audience engagement.
- Collaborate with designers, writers, PR specialists, and digital marketers to bring content strategies to life.
- Measure and report on content performance, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a similar role within media or PR.
- Proven ability to develop effective content strategies that drive measurable results.
- Excellent understanding of SEO, content distribution channels, and audience engagement techniques.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools is essential.
