The role

Our client, a leading Oil & Gas E&P operator, is looking for a Contracts Administrator / Engineer to join its team in Surrey on an initial 12-month contract. You'll provide contract administration support for service and subcontract arrangements, working alongside engineers, project colleagues and third-party contractors.

You'll be office-based five days per week to begin with. This may reduce to a hybrid arrangement over the course of the contract.

Key responsibilities

Administer contracts and subcontracts, from award through to close-out. Prepare, review and process contract documentation and contractor submissions. Support the contract award process, including contract documents and internal approvals. Administer variations and change, tracking schedule and risk impacts. Monitor contract correspondence and flag potential claims or delivery issues early. Maintain contract files and databases, keeping records accurate and up to date. Work with Legal, Finance and Insurance colleagues to make sure contracts follow the client's contracting guidelines. Support project and engineering colleagues in understanding the contractual implications of each scope of work. Assist with reporting and the upkeep of contract documents.

About you

Around 5 years' contracts administration or engineering experience within Oil & Gas, ideally with an E&P operator or a Tier 1 service company. Hands-on experience of contract and subcontract administration, including variations and change control. Keen attention to detail, with a methodical approach to documentation and record keeping. Happy working in an office environment five days per week initially. Clear written and verbal communication, and comfortable working with colleagues across different departments. Well organised, able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint.
