About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their innovative team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves the design, implementation, and support of complex automation and control systems for industrial processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of these systems, working with PLCs, SCADA, and HMI technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop control system architectures, including PLC programming, SCADA system configuration, and HMI development.
- Implement and commission control systems for new projects and modifications to existing facilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems, both remotely and on-site.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including logic diagrams, P&IDs, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in automation and control.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in designing, programming, and commissioning industrial control systems.
- Proficiency with major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA software.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Modbus).
- Experience with process instrumentation and feedback control theory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
