Our client is seeking a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their technical team in Reading . This role is crucial for the design, implementation, and maintenance of sophisticated control systems across various industrial applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
- Develop and maintain control logic , algorithms, and system architectures to meet project specifications.
- Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and project managers to integrate control systems into larger automated solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users on control system operation and maintenance.
- Ensure all control system designs adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements in the United Kingdom .
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing control systems using major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Proficiency in HMI/SCADA software and industrial communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of automation principles, robotics, and process control.
- Experience with variable speed drives and servo systems is advantageous.
