About the Role
Our client, a reputable firm with a strong corporate practice, is looking for a diligent and proactive Corporate Paralegal to join their busy team in Reading . This role involves providing essential support to the corporate and commercial law departments, assisting with a variety of transactions, corporate governance, and compliance matters. You will play a key role in document management, due diligence, and client liaison, working closely with experienced solicitors. This hybrid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to high-quality corporate work while benefiting from a flexible working arrangement and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist solicitors in the preparation and completion of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Conduct due diligence investigations, analyse findings, and prepare due diligence reports.
- Draft and manage a range of legal documents, including board minutes, resolutions, and shareholder agreements.
- Maintain statutory registers and ensure compliance with Companies House filings.
- Liaise with clients, external advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Organise and manage electronic data rooms for transactions.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal , preferably within a corporate or commercial law setting.
- Solid understanding of corporate law principles and procedures.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal case management software.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
