Courier Driver - Parcel Delivery

About the Role

Our client is looking for a diligent Courier Driver to join their fast-paced delivery service in the Sunderland area. You will be responsible for the prompt and safe delivery of parcels and packages to residential and commercial addresses. This role demands excellent time management and customer service skills, as you will be the face of the company to many clients. Working within a dedicated team, you will contribute to the efficient operation of the local delivery network, ensuring customer satisfaction with every delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver parcels on assigned routes in a timely manner.
• Ensure all parcels are handled with care and delivered in good condition.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic safety of the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Obtain necessary signatures and confirmation of deliveries.
• Report any delivery issues or vehicle problems to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• A valid UK driving licence , preferably with a clean record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
• Good geographical knowledge of the Sunderland area.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with customers.
