About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Credit Analyst to join their team in Sunderland . This role is integral to assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, ensuring the organization manages its lending risks effectively. You will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis, evaluating credit applications, and making informed recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data to assess the credit risk of individuals and businesses.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for loan approvals or rejections.
- Monitor existing credit facilities and ensure compliance with loan covenants and terms.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and discuss credit terms.
- Stay updated on industry trends and economic conditions that may impact credit risk.
- Assist in the development and refinement of credit policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in credit analysis, lending, or a related financial role.
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and credit assessment principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings clearly.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
