About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Credit Risk Manager to join their established team in Reading . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor credit risk policies and procedures.
• Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts, overseeing the assessment of creditworthiness for new and existing clients.
• Analyse portfolio credit risk, identify trends, and recommend strategies for portfolio optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite frameworks.
• Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment tools.
• Report on credit risk exposures and performance to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment, portfolio management, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel accords).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in credit risk modeling software and data analysis tools.
