Urgent Opportunity – Social Worker – Children With Disabilities

📍 Location: Newham, London

We are currently recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Team within Children's Social Care at the London Borough of Newham.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children with disabilities and their families.

• Undertake Child in Need and Child Protection assessments.

• Complete safeguarding assessments and identify risks.

• Develop and review care and support plans.

• Undertake direct work with children and families.

• Work collaboratively with health, education and other partner agencies.

• Attend meetings, reviews and conferences.

• Prepare high-quality reports and maintain accurate case records.

Essential Requirements:

• Recognised Social Work qualification.

• Current Social Work England registration.

• Experience within Children's Social Care.

• Experience undertaking assessments and managing safeguarding cases.

• Knowledge of child development and relevant legislation.

• Understanding of the needs of children with disabilities.

• Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills.

• Enhanced DBS clearance.

• Must have a UK passport or a full right to work in the UK.
