About the Role

Our client is looking for a passionate and skilled Culinary Team Lead to oversee their patisserie section in a high-end establishment in Cambridge . You will be responsible for leading a small team of pastry chefs, ensuring the creation of exquisite desserts, pastries, and baked goods to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of pastry chefs in daily operations, ensuring high-quality production.
• Develop innovative and appealing dessert menus, seasonal specials, and special occasion items.
• Maintain impeccable standards of food quality, taste, presentation, and hygiene in the patisserie.
• Manage ingredient sourcing, inventory control, and waste reduction for the pastry section.
• Ensure all pastry creations meet strict quality and consistency guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning and culinary development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Sous Pastry Chef, with demonstrable leadership qualities.
• Expertise in a wide range of baking and pastry techniques, including cakes, breads, and confectionery.
• Creative flair and a passion for developing new and exciting dessert concepts.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management practices.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
