Lead the future of Health education at Yeovil College. This is a fantastic full-time opportunity to join a busy, highly subscribed curriculum area with state-of-the-art facilities, ambitious students and a curriculum that continues to grow. Bring your teaching expertise, leadership skills and ideas to a role where you can shape the student experience, develop a talented team and make a real impact on the next generation of health professionals.

This is a role that genuinely combines the best of both worlds — hands-on teaching alongside the opportunity to lead, influence and shape the wider Health provision. You’ll stay connected to your subject and your students while taking responsibility for the quality, delivery and development of programmes across the department. You’ll lead and support a dedicated team, champion excellent teaching and learning, and keep a close eye on attendance, achievement, progression and the overall student experience. You’ll also play an important part in growing the provision, using data, industry insight and your own ideas to identify new opportunities, strengthen employer links and develop curriculum that meets the needs of learners and the health sector. Working closely with the Head of Faculty, you’ll have real scope to make your mark — from developing staff and improving quality to shaping future provision and ensuring our students leave with the skills, confidence and knowledge to take their next step.

What we're looking for:

Leadership experience in a curriculum or management role, with the ability to lead, influence and motivate others.

Health expertise backed by relevant Level3 qualifications and a Level 5 teaching qualification.

Strong understanding of vocational, technical and apprenticeship provision, with relevant industry or career experience.

Learner-focused and resilient, with a genuine drive to improve teaching, learning and the student experience.

Confident with data and communication, able to turn insight into practical action and communicate effectively at all levels.

A collaborative, supportive leader who builds strong relationships, embraces change and brings ambition, honesty and a practical approach to solving challenges.
