Cyber Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Cyber Security Analyst to join their growing security team in Bradford . In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, detecting and analyzing threats, and supporting incident response activities. You will play a key role in protecting the organization's information assets from cyber-attacks and ensuring the security of its IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools, including SIEM and IDS/IPS.
• Analyze potential security threats and vulnerabilities, escalating as needed.
• Assist in the incident response process , including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Perform regular security assessments and report findings to management.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security controls and technologies.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a cyber security or IT security role.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, firewalls).
• Understanding of common cyber threats and attack vectors.
• Basic knowledge of network protocols and operating systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
