Our client is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Consultant to join their team on a contract basis, based in Sunderland . This role involves providing expert advice and implementing security solutions for a diverse range of clients. You will assess client security risks, develop tailored strategies, and assist with the implementation of technical and procedural controls. The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of cybersecurity threats and technologies, with the ability to translate complex technical information into actionable business recommendations. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments and risk analyses for client organizations.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations for improving security posture and compliance.
- Design and implement security solutions, including network security, data protection, and access control measures.
- Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices, incident response planning, and disaster recovery.
- Assist clients in achieving compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Deliver technical training and awareness programs to client personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Consultant or in a similar advisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and technologies.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and penetration testing methodologies.
- Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage expectations.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
