Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Belfast . In this role, you will be at the forefront of protecting the organization's digital assets from evolving cyber threats. You will monitor security systems, investigate incidents, implement protective measures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the security posture. This is an essential position for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's information systems and data.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs for potential threats and breaches using SIEM tools .
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation actions.
• Implement and manage security controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably as an analyst or engineer.
• Knowledge of common cyber threats , attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and endpoint security tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH are a plus.
