Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and analytical Cybersecurity Analyst to join their security operations team in Belfast . In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring network traffic, identifying potential security threats, and responding to incidents to protect the organization's digital assets. You will work with state-of-the-art security tools and technologies to detect and prevent sophisticated cyber-attacks. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various sources (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS) to detect potential threats.
• Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and recommend remediation actions.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems.
• Implement and manage security controls to protect against malware, phishing, and other cyber threats.
• Provide security awareness training to employees and advise on best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence, incident response frameworks, and vulnerability management.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly desirable.
