Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join their security team. This is a fully remote position, offering a unique opportunity to protect our client's digital assets from threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, detecting and responding to incidents, and implementing measures to enhance the overall security posture. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, possesses a keen analytical mind, and stays current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation actions.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Implement and manage security controls and technologies to protect networks and data.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity , incident response, or security operations.
• Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
• Strong understanding of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning and management tools.
• Familiarity with common security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
