Cybersecurity Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join their IT security team. This hybrid role is essential for protecting the company's digital assets against evolving threats. You will be responsible for monitoring security systems, analyzing potential threats, and implementing measures to safeguard information systems and data. Working in collaboration with IT colleagues, you will play a key role in maintaining a strong security posture. This position offers a balance of remote flexibility and on-site collaboration at our Norwich office, ensuring both efficiency and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
• Investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
• Provide security awareness training to employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar security role.
• Strong understanding of network security, common vulnerabilities, and threat mitigation techniques.
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Familiarity with relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid setup in Norwich .
