We're partnering with a global leader in real estate and critical facilities management, to recruit an experienced Data Centre Shift Leader for a high-profile site in Harlow.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer with Data Centre or Critical Environment experience who is ready to take ownership of shift operations, lead a technical team, and play a key role in maintaining business-critical infrastructure.

Offer - DC Shift Lead

Paying up to £68,000 per annum 20 shift days annual leave Continental Shift Pattern Over Time (1.5x Monday to Saturday, 2x on Sunday and Bank Holiday) Pension Career progression Additional training

The Opportunity

✅ Leading and supervising a team of M&E engineers

✅ Managing planned preventative maintenance, reactive works, and service delivery

✅ Acting as the technical lead and primary point of contact during shifts

✅ Conducting electrical switching operations and managing permit-to-work processes

✅ Supporting staff development, training, and performance management

✅ Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and operational standards

✅ Delivering outstanding service within a critical environment where up time is everything.

What We're Looking For

✔ HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person)

✔ City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical Qualification (or equivalent)

✔ Strong building services and critical environment experience

✔ Knowledge of Permit to Work systems

✔ Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

✔ Experience using CMMS and BMS systems

✔ Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Desirable Experience

⭐ Previous Data Centre experience

⭐ HV Switching experience

⭐ 18th Edition

⭐ Electrical or Mechanical Apprenticeship
