About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Big Data Technologies to join their team in Oxford . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines using big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across all data systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean and accessible data for analysis and reporting.
• Implement data security and governance best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehousing solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
