About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Specialist to join their information security team in Bristol . This role focuses on implementing, configuring, and managing DLP solutions to prevent sensitive data from leaving the organization's control. You will play a critical role in safeguarding confidential information, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, and responding to potential data exfiltration events. Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools .
• Develop and refine DLP policies to identify and protect sensitive data across various channels (email, web, cloud storage).
• Monitor DLP alerts, investigate potential policy violations, and take appropriate action.
• Collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure DLP strategies align with business needs and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular reviews and tuning of DLP rules to minimize false positives and maximize effectiveness.
• Stay updated on data protection trends and technologies relevant to DLP.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions (e.g., Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview DLP, Forcepoint).
• Understanding of data classification, data discovery, and data protection principles.
• Experience in monitoring and responding to security alerts.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
