About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialist Data Protection Lawyer to join their growing team in Glasgow . This hybrid position offers a blend of remote working and office-based collaboration, providing a flexible yet integrated work experience. You will be at the forefront of advising on data privacy regulations, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act, for a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the evolving data protection landscape and be adept at translating complex legal requirements into practical business solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of data protection and privacy law.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and advise on their implementation.
• Draft and review privacy policies, data processing agreements, and consent mechanisms.
• Assist clients in responding to data breaches and regulatory inquiries from supervisory authorities.
• Develop and deliver training on data protection compliance.
• Stay abreast of changes in data protection legislation and guidance across relevant jurisdictions.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with demonstrable expertise in data protection and privacy law .
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection legislation.
• Experience in advising on data processing, consent, and international data transfers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, suitable for client-facing advisory work.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment , balancing remote and in-office responsibilities.
