Data Scientist - AI Specialization

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented Data Scientist with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence to join their expanding team in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing predictive models, and implementing AI solutions that drive strategic business decisions. This role requires a blend of statistical expertise, machine learning knowledge, and strong analytical skills to uncover insights and create value from data. As a key member of the data science team, you will contribute to cutting-edge AI projects within a collaborative, office-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives.
• Develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms for prediction, classification, and clustering.
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of AI solutions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data science models into production systems.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and ML libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with SQL and working with large databases.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
