Data Scientist - AI Specialization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and analytical Data Scientist with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence to join their team in Portsmouth . You will play a key role in extracting actionable insights from complex datasets, building predictive models, and developing innovative AI-driven solutions that address critical business challenges. This position requires a strong foundation in statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming, combined with a passion for uncovering patterns and driving data-informed decisions within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
• Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for various applications, including predictive modeling and classification.
• Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to deploy models into production environments.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and presentations.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science and AI, applying them to solve business problems.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on applying AI and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in Python or R, including experience with data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling , hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data manipulation.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
