Data Scientist - Insurance Analytics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join their analytics team and work remotely. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy predictive models for areas such as risk assessment, customer churn, and fraud detection.
• Perform complex data analysis and interpretation using advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key analytical needs and translate them into data science projects.
• Clean, process, and transform large, complex datasets from various sources.
• Communicate findings and insights clearly through visualizations and presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and AI, and apply them to insurance challenges.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong portfolio of successfully implemented models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets and databases.
• Excellent understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and experimental design.
• Experience within the insurance industry is highly desirable.
