Delivery Driver - Van (Local Routes)

About the Role

Our client requires a dedicated Delivery Driver for local routes operating from their depot in Coventry . This position is ideal for someone who enjoys navigating the city, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring prompt deliveries. You will be responsible for collecting and delivering packages to businesses and residential addresses within a defined geographical area. The role demands efficiency, good time management, and a friendly demeanour, as you will often be the face of the company to our customers in the West Midlands area.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently within the Coventry area.
• Load and unload packages from the company van, ensuring careful handling.
• Obtain proof of delivery and collect payments if required.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
• Provide a high level of customer service during all interactions.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (Category B).
• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with local route knowledge.
• Good understanding of the Coventry and surrounding areas.
• Ability to lift and carry packages of varying sizes and weights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
